Smart Blog Commenting Attract Traffic To Your Site

Blog comments can either make your business credible or a dead lead. Using blog commenting to make your web presence known should be a well-accounted SEO marketing strategy and a good representation of your company. Bloggers are not just after the number of comments in their posts but they give greater weight to the content quality of each comment.

So how can you make your blog comments work for you and drive genuine inbound links to your website? Here are some tips to guide you in smart blog commenting.

  1. First comments do not necessarily mean many clicks. Most blog commenter has the wrong notion that being the first to post a comment on blogs can motivate readers to follow their lead. What usually happens is that they post irrelevant opinions that make the comment look dumb and that is enough for viewers not to click included link.
  2. Curiosity clicks cannot keep the interest of viewers. Comments that are usually short and interesting one-liners can make a curious reader click a link but it cannot keep their attention to be able to get a good lead. They will shortly find out that your lead do not have the information they need and leave your trail in seconds.  Venturing in sneaky link building methods like this is categorized under black hat SEO marketing.
  3. Kissing up to bloggers does not ensure traffic. If the comments posted are all ego praising to the blog owner, then it serves no use to the other viewers who reads the blog.  Lead content is always the key to have real traffic driven to your site.

A blog is a social media tool. In this context, blogging demands a building of social interaction and relationship building with other bloggers. Getting links in social networking sites, re-posting in other blogs, re-tweets, bookmarked in social bookmarking sites, and votes in social media is the only way to generate leads that matter. Comment content should therefore be with substance that can appeal to most general audience in regards to your topic. It does take time to make a following even in blog commenting but they are worth the investment of resources.

    Maybe I am going be a bit rude here for some other people who placed thier comments here. But I think words “great post” , “awsome post” , “good post” are a bit to small to get them a good position and result for google. Article is ok, a bit short but it ‘kicks’ the main sense of that problem, but here I wish to get a bit to those ‘short comments’ fans. Please, get some more content to your comments. You are not positioning your websites for “great post” keywords. Short comment smells bad for me. I have my web design blog as well with some tutorials etc. and I hate thise ‘great article’ , 2 words length comments as I know that person who gave that comment have nomidea about my article. Sorry for those words, but we should try to improve our web design worlds as soon we will have in google only ‘nice posts’ in search results.
